Masiello and his remarkable experience and know of construction made this home uniquely unique. From the structural, to the simple changes in design of the original blueprint, 50 Druid is simply sexy, that’s all. This house is where Masi Homes granted itself permission to think outside the ordinary. The moment the frame was up is when all the traditional design ideas went out the window. The accent siding came from Faux Relics, locally milled and stained to bring back the old barn look, yet have that level and square feeling that comes from a new product. The textures were plentiful from the asphalt shingles mixed with aluminum rooting materials, to the smart siding, the barn wood and the cortex sheets, to the colors and floating sinks. The shower head in this master suite is a few ounces short of a real water fall. All of us at Masi Homes wanted to take turns at the sleek deep bathtub in the master suite. All super sexy modern rustic.
So much to feel and see thru out. The kitchen cabinets were traditional and contemporary mixed. The boxed shelves that Masiello built added character and a certain pow to the kitchen. The fireplace wall with all it’s tile and the massive mantle were a focal point of the living area. That is if you forget to look around at the barn doors, the sleek and unusual light fixtures, the bamboo floor, the doors with the built in blinds, the cortex accents in the staircase landing and so on.
Then you wonder on up to the master suite to experience lots of light, as it floods thru the numerous window that mostly face west. The vaulted ceiling gives this master the feeling of a whole lot yet without the excess square footage. The built in, silky wood slab, that will serve as a desk, is simply delicious and the barn door for the master was just as sexy as the entire of the master suite.
So much to look at, enjoy, compliment. Masiello got to really let his talents push thru on 50 Druid and for the ones that got to see it happen, how fun was that? His talent and his construction knowledge are impressive, extraordinary and Masi Homes is lucky to have him lead these projects all over the Asheville area.
